South Mountain Conservancy
Through volunteer activities and advocacy, the SMC serves as a steward for this park and helps to preserve, protect, and enhance its ecology, infrastructure and natural beauty. As a partner with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs and other environmental groups, the Conservancy strives to ensure this remarkable resource is maintained for current and future users, and its deciduous forest thrives as a balanced ecosystem.
