Field trips are designed for ages 12 and up.  Have you ever wanted to “bird watch” but didn’t know where to begin? Would you like to find some of the hidden gems in Essex County? Let New Jersey Audubon be your guide. Summer is the time to see, hear and learn about the species of birds that nest in Essex County. Walks encourage beginners and challenge experts. Join us for a hike through this historic urban gem. A walk through some of the paths of this varied park scene, that holds a surprising variety of birdlife, from forest birds to ducks and herons.  Exploring varied habitats for breeding birds including ducks, flycatchers, sparrows and more. Joint trip with Bergen County Audubon. Meet at Cherry Blossom Visitor’s Center Branchbrook Park Drive between Mill St and Grafton Ave, Newark. Cost: $8 members, $10 nonmembers
