Dance on the Lawn
Dance on the Lawn, the acclaimed NJ Dance Festival, returns to Montclair. The second annual Dance on the Lawn Dance Festival featuring NJ Dance Companies Maurice Chestnut, Randy James “10 Hairy Legs,” and Donna Scro’s “Freespace Dance” will return Saturday, September 12 to the lawn of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Montclair.
The state’s first “Emerging Commissioned NJ Choreographer” Robert Mark Burke will present new work, and NJ Dance Schools Kathy Costa’s DanceWorks & Company, Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts’ Performance Workshop Ensemble and Nancy Turano’s New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble will also be featured. In addition, “Recognized New Jersey Dancers” Christopher Taylor, Jasmeer Bartel & Alkabir Lewis will perform choreography by artist LaQua Hall.
